[sanz; Fr. sahn]
The return to a state of absence.
One whose roots stem from the practice of traditional graffiti and street art, focusing talent on the use of Aerosol, Ink and Acrylic media to create works of emptiness, fantasy and abstraction. His letter-work has adorned the surface of Sydney since the year of 2004. Throughout his years of practice, Resan has reinterpreted this knowledge of constructing the letterform into the construction of man, beast and machine. He now depicts these figures in their journey of existence and experience, delving into the source of the human condition. Living in an age where technology renders the use of the brush and the pen obsolete, Resan seeks to return to that which is lost and push the boundaries to the highest echelons. Armed with deep cynicism and a healthy distrust, it is clear that Resan will emerge from the depths of apathy to spread the word, his word: Resan.
